Background

Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) is an award-winning development project which consists of three special economic zones focused on attracting knowledge-based and specialised-services businesses to set up a physical presence in the Cayman Islands. The zones included within CEC are Cayman Tech City, Cayman Commodities & Derivatives City and Cayman Maritime & Aviation City.

We are looking for a student or recent graduate between the ages of 18-25, who is passionate about marketing to join CEC’s Marketing Department as the 2021 CEC Marketing Intern. The internship lasts from 4-8 weeks and is part of the Enterprise Cayman Internship Programme. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn about marketing – inbound marketing, social media, branding, public relations, B2B marketing, content marketing, etc. – all while gaining valuable hands on experience as part of CEC’s global marketing team.

The 2021 CEC Marketing Intern will assist the CEC Marketing Department with:

• Content writing
• Research
• Database development
• E-communications
• Social Media
• Brainstorming ideas for new programmes focused on youth
• Giving input on our existing Enterprise Cayman marketing and programmes
• Proof reading
• Some e-filing
• Posting website content
• & other marketing and PR projects

The Candidate

The internship programme is open to Caymanians and residents of the Cayman Islands. The candidate does not need to have prior marketing experience but must either be studying a marketing related degree at college or have a passion for marketing and technology. The candidate must be fast-thinking and fast-moving enough to keep up with the rapid pace of our global marketing department. The candidate will have a great ‘can do’ attitude, a smart professional appearance and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and a good sense of humour are also important.

Good writing skills are paramount.
