Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing, drafting, and reviewing contracts for a variety of transactions such as services agreements, licensing agreements, software development agreements, internet marketing/advertising agreements, distribution agreements, and consulting agreements
• Conduct routine internal reviews of all offers, products, and services to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
• Help oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
• Collaborate and follow up with operations and support teams to ensure appropriate changes are made for compliance violations
• Implement and maintain centralized, organized, and up-to-date online and offline repositories for all legal and business documents
• Coordinate with internal and external legal resources on various legal matters related to the operation of the Company
• Assist with corporate governance activities
• Monitor regulatory environment relating to online advertising, privacy, and technology
• Conduct multi-jurisdiction legal research as required
• Advise internal management on the implementation and operation of compliance programs
• Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD is an advantage
• 2 to 4 years of compliance, contract, and/or legal experience related to business and commercial transactions
• Familiarity with internet technology, online advertising, and digital marketing, including display/search advertising, targeting, and insertion orders
• Familiarity with international data protection and privacy laws and regulations
• Familiarity with working within an international corporate structure
• Ability to partner with operations teams to overcome obstacles and achieve goals
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to influence others and outcomes in circumstances where there is not specific managerial authority
• Ability to work autonomously, yet understand necessity to advise management of work progress and any unusual situations
• Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all organization levels and operational functions
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing)
• Computer literate
