JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Financial Controller/Operations Manager
Job Status: Part Time with potential to transition to Full Time
Location: Grand Cayman
Salary: Experience dependent
Available: Immediately

Successful candidate will report to the President of uBUCK Technologies SEZC, and group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for financial accounting activities such as managing the Company’s financial accounting and reporting as well as payroll activities
  • Managing foreign subsidiaries income
  • Budgeting, administration,
  • Safeguarding digital assets and implementing appropriate policy procedures
  • Monthly management reporting; forecasts, revenue recognition/accounting management, public company reporting and filing requirements
  • Implement & maintain and operate the Company’s accounting systems
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all revenue transactions
  • Implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments
  • Assist/support the parent company CFO in day-to-day finance Audit assistance related to public filings

Typical Tasks Include:

  • Preparing quarterly and annual reports, MD&A
  • Preparing and maintaining the Company’s financial model
  • Assist in managing the Company’s digital assets, banking needs, and relationships
  • Assist in hiring and managing finance and accounting personnel and/or contractors when/as required
  • Managing both the company’s cap table and stock option plan
  • Managing audits and working with auditors
  • Keeping current on the Company’s business and operations
  • Keeping current with GAAP/IFRS that may be applicable to the Company
  • Support the president on other tasks within Employee’s knowledge

Qualifications

  • Business and finance degree plus CA or CPA designation is required
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with big 4 and/or growth-oriented company experience a plus
  • Ability to work closely with a senior management team
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experience building relationships with suppliers, bankers, auditors, and the Blockchain community
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (email, MS word, etc.) are a must
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Financial modelling and exceptional MS Excel / Google Docs skills
  • QBO and/or other relevant accounting / ERP software
