PURPOSE

Responsible for day to day strategic analysis of supply data, market demand, market indicators and results for Sol’s Supply activities

Specific functions include the maintenance of systems, databases and processes which will ensure Sol’s front-office teams have visibility and analytics to support pricing and operational decisions

Provide reporting and dashboards to enable interpretation of market factors, trends, customer demand, product costs and locations. The ability to interpret data, maintain systems and processes, and implement change to drive profitability will be essential

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Volumetric reporting and analysis for the supply group, including but not limited to daily/monthly/quarterly/annual lift performance versus forecasts

Management of the supply data repository ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all inputs, data flows and budget forecasting reconciliation

Arbitrage opportunity identification and reporting, including liaising closely with the supply and distribution teams to ensure timely execution

Ownership of front office deal capture activities in Allegro, Sol’s deal capture database

Support the preparation of supply updates, including market related analysis, and volumetric and operational KPI’s

Coordination with the accounting and supply admin teams to document and reconcile front office trading activities

Other ad hoc analysis, presentations and reporting

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

University degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Accounting is required (relevant experience will be considered for other degrees)

Preferably 2-3 years in a Supply Analyst or equivalent role; Experience in fuel marketing, or oil and gas industry considered an asset

Strong computer skills and experience managing large volumes of data

Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required

Advanced analytical/problem solving skills necessary to critically analyze and interpret data

Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) skills necessary to interact with employees at all levels of the organization

Self-motivated and proactive approach and work ethic

OTHER COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Must be well organized, detail oriented, possess strong analytical and procedural skills and ability to execute on project deadlines

Possess sense of initiative and ability to excel in a flexible, fast paced environment

Ability to work in cross-functional teams
